ZERO STARS AVOID FOR YOUR OWN SANITY.

This store manipulates you into buying overpriced items that are more than you actually need, tells you incorrect information that can ruin your pool, and avoids accountability. The owner Saul and another female employee told my family member incorrect information that ruined their pool, and blamed them for trusting the information. When my family member went to confront them on their horrible practices they were met with insults, harassment, and predatory remarks of sexual assault that followed outside the store. This place is horrible, scummy, and does not deserve the ratings it currently has. Avoid at all costs.

Had questions about my pool and the owner Saul stopped what he was doing and gave me some free advise on how to fix the issue. Hard to find someone to help without trying to charge for a call out. Glad there is still good people out there.

Great help I had an issue with my pool pump and nobody would help repair it because I had removed it my self so most said they wouldn’t help unless they removed it?? Well long story short Saul not only helped repair it but also gave me a good price on future pools services. Ty

    ZERO STARS!

    Horrible Customer Service!

Our visit to this place was extremely disappointing. The first time we came in, a man greeted us but was quite pushy. Despite that, we ordered a “filter,” which he promised would be ready by Monday. However, Monday came and went without any contact. Finally, on Thursday, he called to let us know it had arrived.

When we went to pick it up, we weren’t greeted at all. Instead, a woman looked at my wife with an unwelcoming expression, almost like she was annoyed we were there. My wife politely said, “Hi, we ordered a filter, and we’re here to pick it up.” The woman, with a clear attitude, responded, “A filter?!” We confirmed, and my wife pointed to the item on the counter, saying, “I think that’s it.” The woman snapped back, “That’s not a filter. It’s a cartridge. Next time, you should say ‘cartridge.'”

At that point, I sarcastically asked her if she was having a good day, but like nothing, she brushed it off, saying, “It’s just Monday, you know how those are.” I responded, “Regardless of the day, you should always make your customers feel welcomed and not be so rude.” She denied being rude, which surprised us even more.

At that point, my wife simply said, “You know what, never mind, we don’t want the cartridge.” The woman’s response? A dismissive, “Ok, Hope you have a better day.” When I mentioned I’d be leaving a review, she sarcastically replied, “Oh great, we have lots of those, thank you.”

This was our first and last time visiting this business. What’s most disappointing is that this is supposed to be a family-run establishment in Downey you’d expect better customer service from a place with deep roots in the community.

To make matters worse, the place was filthy. There are old products and shelves with layers of dust caked on everything. Overall, cleanliness is seriously lacking.

I’m a loyal customer when I find good businesses, and had our experience been better, they would’ve earned a lifelong customer. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I was just shocked at the unprofessionalism displayed. Judging by the other recent reviews, it seems like this attitude and h orrible customer service is a pattern, which is truly unfortunate.

We recently decided to cancel with Downey pool because not only did they mess up our pool but they have the worse customer service. The owner is absolutely awful. She obviously doesn’t care about the business because as she said ” we have over 600 customers”. To use that excuse as a reason as to why our pool was unattended is unacceptable. Why take more customers if you will not be able to fulfill the work? And that was not even the problem, the problem was that they were not communicating this with us and giving us the option to find a temporary fix. Also, as an owner, I would want to know why a customer is leaving… she didn’t even bother to ask. I would think she would want feedback on her employees and to know If they are doing their job correctly. The fact that she isn’t even willing to apologize and look for a resolution is the reason I will have to seek legal action if my pool can’t get fixed under $100 by someone else. I am completely disappointed and DO NOT RECOMMEND their business. Please note that if you aren’t home during the pool service, it is most likely that they are not doing anything, they come and leave within 5 minutes and then charge you you monthly fee and tell you you need Thank goodness my neighbors told me this was happening and I was able to verify with my ring camera. BEWARE!!
